Have you eaten a slice of melon on a stick right on the street?
When was the last time you were afraid for your life, sitting in a taxi?
Have you drunk a tea made of sunflower seeds?
Or milk tea with jelly?
Oh, and have you tried jelly black potatoes? - From the usual ones,of course.
Or the black goose egg, which doesn't really smell well?
Well, maybe...…
But a green beans ice-cream you definetely haven't tried!!!
You know, with a great pleasure!
Because it's damn hot and you are starving:);
What about chips with the taste of kiwi and lemon?
Dried sweet orange chilli-tomato (in this case with certainty that you are going to eat barberry or something else, until the chewing process)?
Ok, perhaps you have tried. But if no - would you like to?
Hm…why am I writing only about the food? I WANT TO EAT ! The normal food and in large amount. But last week, I eat only this:
That such a nice time. Above all, do not go beyond - only 20 yuan a day. Includes transportation and ice cream during the midday walk (2 yuan).
1 yuan - 1.2 UAH. To live in such amount in the tourist town is easy, most importantly, do not eat in the cafe even once a day. Only boiled water and eating only from the supermarket. And you can survive. We must survive!) Last week till
Well this is the bad news. And now events of the last 2 weeks - Farewell to
Though I love and hate at the same time

So:
I didn’t lose weight. Although I wanted. Photos blatantly hide the reality. And even a week of hunger in the long run did not produce any results! But I have learned to cope with hunger, green tea and water. And in general have learned to starve.
A week ago we were with Mary and George – only three out of our huge international “team” – despite everything (the collapse of the team on a dangerous path alleged by bus; the reduce of children’s payment for classes by half, because of the half number of promised teachers; the doubts of George himself whether to go there after all), we swam to Badong in the morning on the busy boat along the Yangtze River.
By George’s bullshit it supposed to be a small mountain town. At some point how you imagine a small mountain town?
That what really Badong is:
Once I saw brand-new high-rise buildings right on the mountain slopes, the entire scope of work and huge foundations of the buildings under construction, I realized one fact - the Chinese will always win through . Not because they are glued, clever, or something else. They are vi-able. They are able to survive therefore – to live. And they are hardworking. My world has become more open – I could not imagine before, that on such a ground in such places something in general is built. Only stairs impressed me so much! I could imagine how much work is beyond every step.
Arriving at 9 am (late for half an hour of schedule), we immediately went to the ambulance car (the doctor picked us up) directly to the school. Just straight to the class where we were waited by schoolchildren.
Ah, yes, the background - that night we chatted with Henry till 2 a.m.. This was his last evening when he saw us. And I got up at 5 am, so slept as a result too little for me!
Before we came into the class, George saw the number of children and told us “calm down, there are lots of them”. We really had a lot - as much as 18 students. Prior to that coped with far fewer. But we were happy! Marie was little confused at the beginning, but quickly got into the taste (began enjoying it).
We started our plan - shitty planned second day of improvising was still ahead, but for beginning we’ve prepared lots of practiced games and knowledge. This what we have done and what we knew so everything went like clockwork. So it continued:
We were teaching sometimes talking to everybody, then separately in 2 groups - of course, boys and girls were divided into two fronts. I was all in all with the girls, Marie entertained the boys.
We didn’t not forget bring them outside: played in "line" - to line up by age, not communicating verbally, as well as growth. And in Maria’s game – “islands”. We had to walk up the pieces of paper, embracing all in its path. Despite the heat, we managed to kill a little more time having fun.
In fact we were hanging out with them only for two days. But in the morning before lunch - 3 hours, and immediately after lunch, another 3 hours. Working. It was rather difficult to keep the attention all this time and not to get bored. But actually, Badong - was the most-the most successful experience! Due to the large number of students, and yet no! Many of them knew enough English and were very, very smart! All three of us were amused.
George was speaking for a long time about three kids (14-15 years) who were with us most of the time - the daughter of the principle, with whom we spent the night, and her two friends
I was also astonished myself. But I took for granted their brightness, but others were more interesting for me, and thank God, there were more children who could surprise!
Wherever else I could hear such a variety of desirable future work: from dancer to the policewoman (the girl)!
I mean honestly, are there too many Ukrainian girls who wish to be a policewoman when they are 13?
And to see this potential ... Yeah. Nothing else matters.
Untwist them to sociability, to reveal their insecurity and insularity. And hope that at least a little drop, a tiny bit helped them ... This is the happiness. The two-day happiness in a quiet, beautiful town.
Badong ...
Could I climb that mountain?
Keep writing! I will always read.
